Lone Star Beer 140th Anniversary

OVERVIEW

For Lone Star Beer’s 140th anniversary, the team needed to do something iconic to increase brand awareness while celebrating the rich history of the National Beer of Texas. Lone Star called on its number one friend, the Armadillo, for a little extra magic.

A constant presence engrained in Lone Star merchandise, memorabilia and advertising spots over the years, the Armadillo was the perfect mascot to make every beer a Lone Star.

ROLE: ART DIRECTION + DESIGN

Worked closely alongside creative directors and copywriters to concept campaign strategy and visual approach for the campaign. I was a part of the entire process including concepting, director treatments, pre-production, shoot day, and post-production. In preparation for the pre-pro, I led art direction for all spots. I created moodboards for wardrobe, prop selection and guided the overall set design and aesthetic. Once moodboards were created and approved by the client, our team passed off to Scott Rice’s team for execution.

Shoot day, I worked directly with Creative Director, DP and producers to ensure all details on set including talent wardrobe were precise.

Post production, I was a part of both color and sound sessions for final notes and refinement.
